Design philosophy

Good product design sits at the intersection.

A solution only works when it serves the person using it, supports the organisation behind it, and can actually be built.

User Needs

What people are actually trying to do, and what gets in their way.

Business Goals

What the product has to achieve for the organisation to keep investing in it.

Technology

What is feasible, what it costs, and how the system really behaves.

“The best product is not the one with the most features. It is the one that makes a complicated problem feel simple.”

CAPABILITIES

What I bring to a product team

Capabilities across the full product design process from deciding what the problem is to helping engineering ship the final experience.

0→1 Product Design

Taking ambiguous problems from first framing to a shippable product.

Product Thinking

Connecting user needs, business goals and technical reality.

UX Strategy

Deciding what to build, in what order, and why.

User Research

Interviews, synthesis and behavioural insight.

Interaction Design

Flows, states and feedback that feel obvious.

Information Architecture

Structuring complex domains so people can navigate them.

Wireframing

Fast, low-cost exploration of structure and hierarchy.

Prototyping

Testable prototypes for validation and stakeholder buy-in.

UI Design

Restrained, accessible interfaces with clear hierarchy.

Design Systems

Reusable components, tokens and consistent patterns.

Usability Testing

Observing real task performance, not opinions.

Developer Handoff

Specs, states and edge cases engineers can build from.

AI-Assisted Design

Using AI to accelerate exploration and validation.

Featured work

0→1 products across B2B and B2C

Three products, each shaped by a different kind of complexity: operations, workplace behaviour and hiring.

Global Summit Coordination Platform

Meeting coordination for a large international summit lived across spreadsheets, phone calls and messaging apps, leaving no shared view of principals, schedules or assignments.

Freshcots

Job portals rely heavily on resumes and conventional career histories, which makes it hard for freshers, career switchers and returners to demonstrate potential — while recruiters spend significant effort filtering similar profiles.

Working style

How I approach ambiguous product problems

01

Start with the problem

Before features, I look for why the problem exists, who it affects, and what the simplest useful solution would be.

02

Own the ambiguity

Most of my work has been solo 0→1 design — framing the problem, deciding scope, and carrying it through to handoff.

03

Design with engineering in mind

A computer science background means I think about feasibility, dependencies and edge cases while designing, not after.

04

Simplify, then simplify again

The best product is rarely the one with the most features. It is the one that makes a complicated problem feel simple.
